About Clallam Grown!
Clallam Grown!, working with Friends of the Fields, is dedicated to educating Clallam County residents about the far reaching benefits of eating locally grown food. We believe our 2008 Eat Local! outreach campaign will increase awareness and resolve many questions or doubts about the advantages of food grown within our own county.
The 2008 Eat Local! campaign will include informative packets with everything you will need to make more local choices. Packets will include why eating local is important, maps to local producers, a seasonal chart listing what and when things are in season, and coupon books redeemable at participating farmers markets, retailers, farm stands and restaurants.
We also plan to give brief talks for 25-30 civic groups of all kinds. If you are interested in having us speak to your group, please email us at molly@clallamgrown.org.
